Raeann has been getting three molars and my question is, "How come nobody told us about the agony of getting teeth?" It has not been fun, let me tell you. It has gone from extreme fussiness to vomiting and diarrhea and lots of orajel. The doctor told us to give Raeann popsicles to make her gums cold and give her a little extra fluid. How many molars are there again?

Daddy + Park = Nap
This summer has been incredible so far with the things we've been able to do with Raeann, compared to last summer when we couldn't hardly take her outside. She is having a great time at all the places she gets to play and loves being a "big girl." It also wears her out so she takes a good nap in the afternoon, which is nice for all of us.

Care for a swim?
We finally got Raeann to the Aquatic Center here in Montrose. I could not believe how many people were there, but I guess there really is no other place to go that's closer than 20 miles. Raeann continues to shock me at how she is not afraid of the things I think she would be. She loved riding in the cool boat we got her and did not even fuss about being splashed in the face accidentally by the other kids.
She got tired of the boat after awhile and wanted out. She enjoyed being held and played with in the water, but she got wiggly after a bit. I think she wanted to be let go of - the stuff a mother's nightmares are made of.
The Center also had this great splash pad with lots of fountains and sprinklers. She did not even care that the water hit her in the face several times.
This might be why her diaper was so water-logged by the time we left.
Mike and I could not resist taking a trip down the quite-large water slide. I have to admit, it made me want to be a kid again!
Happy 5th Anniversary!

New Hastings Member
Our dear friends, Travis and Claire, welcomed their new little one, Liv Carwen Hastings, to the world on Friday night. She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 21 inches long. The poor thing had to be vacuumed out as she had a 14 inch head and got stuck in the birth canal (that explains the red mark on her forehead). She is a doll, though!
Claire is looking quite beautiful for having a baby only four days ago.
Raeann was extremely fascinated by Liv and wanted to touch her, poke her, rock her, and sit on her! Hmmm, maybe we need to go over baby etiquette.
"Be nice, be nice" were the words I kept saying over and over. Raeann did, however, start to get upset when she thought I had held Liv long enough and it was time for her to get the attention again. That was a cue that it was time to go!

Bubble Machine
Rock-a-bye Baby
I taught Raeann how to rock her baby. She immediately transfered that into spinning around with the baby. Well, at least the baby's not upside down...wait a minute. :)

On the road
Home will be boring...
I commented to more than one person that when we got home Raeann was going to be so bored because there's wasn't a ton of people and new experiences around to entertain her. Here's some highlights of the excitement...
Loving on Santana's cat, Ty. I think she missed Tadd a bit.
We did get to take this cute pool home to Colorado. I finally got Raeann to actually get in it here; she wouldn't get in it when we tried it at my parent's house.
She loves the dirt!
Raeann loved this wagon so much, Dad bought us one for our house. They'll be bringing it out in July when they visit.
Elena loved riding in the wagon too!
Sorry the video is sideways (we're not very good at remembering that, are we?). Raeann loved this spring horse and knew exactly how to make it go. Luckily we didn't have to cart this back to CO.
