Visiting the Reindeer

Our local Murdoch's had two live reindeer today that could be visited, so we stopped by after church. Raeann loves all animals, so of course, she was fascinated right from the get-go. Had to keep her from going around all the people in line ahead of us.
Of all the children we saw, she stood there by far for the longest time.

Finally when we took a step back and let her notice there were too many strangers around her, she decided that it would be okay for us to leave.

So then we went outside and sat in this huge chair.

Of course, she cried when we had to get out of it to go home. boo-hoo, terrible twos are the pits.

Baby it's Cold Outside!

This is my idea of what winter is all about! Raeann is intently watching one of her favorite movies "Elf."
Raeann has been so good with the tree. She checked out the ornaments on and off for the first day, but hasn't paid much attention to it since then.

Big Rainbows

The first picture here is a big rainbow my buddy Andrew caught. I got a picture after I helped him land it.

Well this past weekend I caught the biggest rainbow trout of my life. He was super old, but he was big. I let him go, so hopefully he'll spread he genes.

Beautiful place fore sure!

A few fishing pics

Some great times fishing out here!!!!

I did a bunch of fishing this summer and caught some great trout. Lately I have been catching some salmon. It is pretty cool catching Kokanee (landlocked Sockeye) salmon and huge trout out here.

October visit

These are just random pictures from when my parents and grandma came to visit this past week. Mike and I had conferences two of the evenings and were grateful that they were here to watch Raeann. They had a good time going to some mountain towns a couple of days and working around the house.

visiting Ouray...
a good ole grandpa wagon ride!
looking at the water under the bridge

Raeann thought the cornhole boards that Dad had been building and painting all week were great for walking on

and her hat
visiting Telluride

interesting fish

The first thing I had to say was, "What's wrong with their mouth?" These are land-locked sockeye salmon that Mike and Goon caught in the Black Canyon. I guess their mouth does that when they are breeding? weird...

Color Tour on Last Dollar Road

Yesterday morning we took a scenic road to Telluride called Last Dollar Road to get some good family pictures and pictures of the colors on the trees. It was the perfect temperature and time to go.

Raeann did really well and loved getting out of the car to explore the leaves, logs, sticks, and trees that we don't have in our backyard.

Peek-a-boo!

Smelling a leaf
Such a sweet picture of Mike and Raeann
Taking off on her own - she's so independent!

Silly things

We found a bird feather in the yard and Raeann spent quite some time throwing it up into the air. It was even more exciting when she tried to throw it on top of my head or her own.
Um, yeah, well, she's at least being creative and developing her fine motor skills!

Where the white pumpkin grows

Raeann and her daycare friends were taken to the local pumpkin patch today. I'm not sure how the picking of the pumpkin actually happened, but she came home with this pure white one.
This is my attempt to take "professional" looking pictures of Raeann with the pumpkin.

Love this one!
And this one too! I so wish the window wasn't in the background though!

Having fun at Daycare

She loves to sit on the frog potty - don't think she even knows what it's for, just likes sitting on it.
We don't have many big trees around our house, well, none at all really, so she loves playing around these ones at the daycare.
Lots of fun outside.
