Michigan Girl and Colorado Girl?

We arrived in Michigan for our annual summer visit on Monday. Despite the extremely long and frustrating ride out, Raeann seems to be loving the adventures of the Knape farm and family! We took a trip to Cold Water (about 2 1/2 hours one way) and had to get out and play in a grassy area next to McDonald's along the way.

We could not believe she headed straight into the river after getting out of the kayak. It was not warm, to say the least, but that did not keep her from squatting in it up to her waist.

Raeann's first kayak ride lasted all of 15 minutes. The best thing was when a swan swam in front of our boat for about 5 minutes. It kept Raeann occupied enough to stop whining about her life jacket for that amount of time.

Loving Tadd

Tadd decided he needed some long-due loving, so he joined Raeann and I in the chair. Raeann thought she could fill that request.

Life's so bright

These are a cute pair of shades our new daycare (for next year) got all of her little ones at a family night we went to last week.

Hey Diddle Diddle

Raeann figured out how to push the button on this toy to make it play the music. Of course, she has to add her dance moves to it as well! Unfortunately, it only plays each song for a short amount of time so she has to keep pushing the button over and over if she wants to keep dancing.

What's Daddy doing?

The first mow of spring sent Raeann to the window to check it out. She stood there the entire time, banging on the window and saying "Da, Da, Da." So sweet!
